Industrial-grade glycol used as the base for coolants and antifreeze fluids, and as an intermediate in the manufacture of polyester resins. In water-based paints, it acts as a freeze-thaw stability aid. It is not suitable for food-contact or personal care applications.

It is used in the manufacture of resins, inks, and textile auxiliaries, and as a gas dehydrating agent in the oil industry. It must not be used in food, pharmaceutical, or personal care applications.
Ester Alcohol Coalescent
Slow-evaporating coalescing agent used in water-based architectural paints to promote film formation at low temperatures. It temporarily plasticizes the emulsion particles, improving film integrity, gloss, and scrub resistance. Its efficiency allows moderate dosages in most acrylic and vinyl systems.
