The same color index can behave differently depending on the manufacturer and batch. That's why we work with reference presentations and reference specifications, confirm the batch's technical data sheet (TDS) before selling, and ship with a certificate of analysis (CoA) so your quality control releases against real data.
When an additive leaves the market, the reformulation is on you — but the search doesn't have to be. We propose functional equivalents from our portfolio, send samples with their technical documentation, and stay with you through validation before the change scales to production.
Several solvents in common use in paints are monitored under Colombia's controlled substances regime. We deliver the safety data sheet (SDS) under the SGA in Spanish with every shipment and guide you on the supporting documents your own operation may need in order to store and transport them without unpleasant surprises.

Selection
Hydroxyethylcellulose
Nonionic, water-soluble cellulosic thickener, a standard in water-based architectural paints for viscosity control, water retention, and storage stability. It provides good leveling and spatter resistance during application. It is also used as a rheology modifier in gels and personal care products.
Isopropyl Alcohol
Fast-evaporating polar solvent, widely used in surface cleaning, electronics, and industrial processes. It is the base of disinfectant formulations and equipment cleaning products due to its miscibility with water and low residue. It is also used as a diluent in inks and coatings.
Mica (CI 77019)
Lamellar mineral with a platelet structure that provides soft luster, slip, and transparency to color products. It works as a texture filler in powders and eyeshadows, and is the traditional substrate for pearlescent pigments. Particle size defines the visual effect, from satin finishes to sparkle, depending on the manufacturer's grade.
Iron Oxides (CI 77491)
Red inorganic pigment with high stability to light and heat, a cornerstone of skin-tone coloration in makeup. Combined with yellow and black iron oxides, it allows the full range of foundations, concealers, and blushes to be built. The exact shade varies between manufacturers and batches, so validation against a color standard is recommended.
Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)
Benchmark white pigment in the color industry, valued for its hiding power and opacifying capacity. It is the foundation of skin tones in makeup foundations and pressed powders, and is used to lighten pigment blends. Treated and untreated variants exist on the market; the specific grade is confirmed in the technical data sheet (TDS) of the available batch.
Iron Oxides (CI 77499)
High-intensity black inorganic pigment, a key player in eye products such as mascaras and eyeliners. It is also used in small proportions to darken and deepen skin tones in foundations and powders. Its stability to light makes it reliable in long-shelf-life formulas.
Butyl Acetate
Medium-evaporating ester solvent, valued in coatings for improving leveling and reducing moisture blushing in lacquers. It efficiently dissolves nitrocellulose, acrylic, and polyurethane resins. A common component of thinners for wood finishes and automotive refinishing.
Glycol ether with excellent coupling power between water and organic solvents. It is a classic component of concentrated degreasers and multi-purpose cleaners, and acts as a tail solvent in water-based paints, improving film formation. Its dual affinity makes it highly efficient in industrial cleaning formulations.
